Stay SAFU

Just as the mystical realm has both good and bad dragons, the crypto world is plagued by numerous scams. Scams, designed by the mischievous Morty, lurk around every corner, each more cunning than the last. Here are some basic tips that can help you stay SAFU:
Remember the 12/24-character phrase you are asked to store safely when you create a new wallet? That’s your seed phrase and private key. Most crypto hacks happen because people share seed phrases, which gives hackers access to all their funds.
The golden rule is: protect your seed phrase with your life. Memorize it, write it down in a secure location, but never, ever share it with anyone. No legitimate crypto individual will even ask for it.
Scammers use platforms like Discord/ TG/ Twitter to target beginners. Here, they lure users by claiming they are from the official team or promising surreal returns. But think through this logically! True team members are too busy to be reaching out to individual holders to “help” them with some undefined issue. If you haven’t initiated the conversation with someone you know for sure is associated with the crypto team, do NOT engage with these scammers! Do not click on unauthorized links on any of these platforms. Always visit the project's official links section on Discord and other platforms.
Scammers often pose as “customer support” agents and reach out via DMs to people who raise an issue on a project’s Telegram and Discord. They DM them under the pretext of offering a solution, claiming to be the official customer support. Again, think critically…do you think members of crypto projects have time to reach out to every individual holder personally? Of course they don’t!
Please do not engage with anyone in your DMs. Use the tickets in Discord or the TG community to openly ask questions.
Phishing is yet another scam you need to be careful about. You do not lose your funds until you sign or interact with a transaction, so please double-check every transaction you approve before signing. Also, ensure you are connected to the official website and not fake versions.
