# Trading

DeFi trading is similar to stock trading in terms of function, but the most important difference is that these platforms are run on smart contracts. 

You can do everything you do on a CEX, like placing limit buy/ sell orders, Dollar Cost Average (DCA) into your favorite assets, margin trading, and much more. All transactions are executed via smart contracts.
