# Swaps

Swapping is the most basic function in all DeFi dApps. A “swap” allows you to convert one crypto to another. Let’s understand this with an example: 

Suppose you have **$mETH** in your Rabby wallet, which you want to swap for **$PUFF**. You can go to the [mETHLab DEX](https://www.methlab.xyz/puffpenthouse?page=swap) and swap **$mETH** for **$PUFF** by connecting your wallet. You’ll also need some **$MNT** which will be used to pay the transaction fees to complete your transaction.
