# How to buy $PUFF on Mantle L2

To buy **$PUFF**, you need two important artifacts from the Mantle realm.

1\) $MNT : $MNT powers the entire Mantle blockchain. Gas fees are required to interact with Mantle dApps.

2\) $X : X is the base coin you want to swap for **$PUFF**. This base coin can be **$mETH**, $USDT, etc, depending on your preference.

For the sake of this guide, let's assume the base coin is **$mETH**. You can get both $MNT and the base token, $USDT, in two ways :
